Transforming Potential into Place
Not every project starts with a blank canvas.
Sometimes, it starts with a building that most people would walk past.
This barn had already lived many lives. What mattered wasn't what it was, it was what it could become.
As architects, one of the most rewarding parts of our job is recognising potential where others see limitations. It's about respecting a building's history while reimagining how it can serve the future.
For this project, the aim was never to erase the character of the original barn. Instead, it was to build upon it, creating a contemporary home that still feels connected to its agricultural roots.
